I am professionally trained and certified as an Equine Massage Therapist (CEMT) from The Rocky Mountain School of Animal Acupressure and Massage (RMSAAM) in Elizabeth, CO. I am also working towards my canine massage certification. In addition, I am trained in using Class 3b Cold Laser therapy on companion animals.
I have been a pet professional providing pet sitting and dog walking services in Colorado Springs since 2010, and have recently added animal massage/bodywork to my menu of services. I am also a pet lover and have a zoo of my own. My husband and I have 4 dogs, 3 cats, chickens, and a horse. I have extensive experience working with horses and dogs. Working with animals truly is my passion! With me, your animals are in good hands.
There are many benefits to therapeutic animal massage/bodywork. A few of the benefits include: relief of pain/discomfort, increase circulation, speed up the rate of healing, and decrease the risk of injury. My focus with massage is to support the overall wellness of your pet. It is also to offer relaxation, physical and emotional release, and to improve bonding with humans by providing physical contact and loving intention.
With much of a dog and horse’s body being muscle, there is a need to provide your furry family member(s) with regular massages to give them maximum comfort, and to help maintain healthy mobility. While massage is a modality that helps your dog or horse have optimum performance, movement, and generally improve their well being, it should be done by a certified massage therapist. A trained massage therapist knows which muscles need what kind of touch and the areas to concentrate on in order to achieve the required results.
My massage and cold laser therapies concentrate on helping your canine and/or equine friend release tension in the muscle and soft tissues, enhancement of joint flexibility, and to provide overall relaxation. My techniques can help your pet improve performance, as well as help speed up the healing process. Let me help your animal(s) live a happier and healthier life and restore balance back in your pets!
